What’s a Shoemanitarian?

The right sneakers don’t just complete the fit— they inspire a mindset.

Meet Jon Marshall — sneakerhead, doctor, and former kid who knew the struggle. Growing up, Jon remembers how rare it was to get a fresh pair. When he did, it was more than just shoes — it was confidence, identity, and a chance to walk a little taller. Now he’s paying it forward, making sure every kid gets that same feeling.

Fresh kicks can change the game.

We start by seeking out kids who could use a boost, through schools, community programs, family workplaces, and word of mouth. For many different reasons, these kids deserve to feel special, seen, and celebrated.

When we show up with a fresh pair of kicks, it’s not just a handoff—it’s a moment. Watching their eyes light up, seeing that instant confidence shift—is pure magic. And for us, the givers, it’s just as powerful. Sneakers may be what we bring, but what we really deliver is a reminder that they matter, that they’re worth something, and that they deserve to step forward in style.

That’s the mission. Giving more is a personal goal for us, but we don’t gatekeep joy. Your financial support through donations, spreading awareness with merch wearing, volunteering to drop off shoes, and participating in our auctions and marketplace helps us put more sneakers on more feet. Together, we can make a lasting impact that’s good for the sole. Questions? Check out our FAQ.
